Hace unos días se publicaron los resultados de la 1t Unionwep 2013. Me hacia mucha ilusión participar así que me puse a ello y, como siempre, el ultimo día tuve que correr como un loco para llegar a tiempo. El planteamiento era muy interesante, en este caso se hizo por categorías (preboda, preparativos, detalles, ceremonia, retrato, celebración, fotoperiodismo, reportaje, byn y boda completa). Está mal que lo diga ahora, pero la categoría que más me llamaba la atención era la de la boda completa. Siempre digo que no hago fotos sueltas, sino cuento historias y me cuesta horrores seleccionar fotos para los concursos. Esta categoría me permitía, aunque de forma muy breve (sólo 15 fotos) contar una pequeña historia. Después de dudar entra alguna de las que tenia seleccione la boda de Luna y Andrew.
El jueves de la semana pasada, mientras disparaba unas fotos, empecé a recibir mensajes de felicitación sin saber bien a qué se referían. Entré en Facebook a ver qué pasaba. Se había hecho público el fallo del concurso así que rápidamente me puse a ver el video de las fotos ganadoras. Pasaban categorías y, nada de nada, ni una foto mía. Cuando llego a retratos, puff, una premiada (entendí que me felicitaban por esa foto). Mi mayor sorpresa fue ver que mi boda era elegida como mejor boda completa. Hace algunos meses les compartía por aquí la boda, hoy la rememoro con las 15 fotos que seleccioné para el concurso. Desde aquí mi enhorabuena también a todos los compañeros, el nivel fue realmente alto.
Some days ago, 1t Unionwep 2013 results were published. I was looking forward to participate so I, as always, had to hurry up the last day be there in time. It was very interesting, in this case it was made by categories (prewedding, preparatives, details, ceremony, portrait, celebration, photojournalism, coverage, b&w y full wedding). It’s not fair to say it now, but the category that catchet my attention the most was the full wedding. I always say I don’t shoot single photos but telling stories and it’s so hard for me to choose contest pictures. thsis category allowed me, very briefly though, (just 15 photos) to tell a little story. After some doubts, I finally choose Luna & Andrew’s wedding.
Last thursday, while shooting some pics, I received some congratulations messages without knowing why. Logged on Facebook to see what was happening. the results were published si I quickly started to watch the video showing the winning pictures. Categories passed and nothing… not a single picture shooted by me. It was the turn for the portraits and… puff, one award-winning picture (I understood this were the congratulations for)! The greatest surprise was when my wedding was selected as the best one. This wedding was shared here some months ago, today I reupload it with the 15 chosen pictures. My congratulations also to all colleagues, the level was really high.
